What is Crystalens?
Crystalens is the first and only intraocular lens replacement that focuses like the natural lens of the eye, allowing for continuous near, distance and intermediate vision. Crystalens can restore full functional vision, and in most cases, eliminate the need for glasses and contact lenses.

How does it work?
By using the eye’s muscle to move the lens naturally in response to messages from the brain to see at different distances, the Crystalens enables you to focus at near, far and intermediate ranges seamlessly. Patients experience the same vision they had when they were younger, most without the inconvenience of corrective eyewear.

What is an accommodating Intraocular Lens (IOL)?
Crystalens is an accommodating lens, which means that it focuses like the eye’s natural lens allowing for continuous continuous near, distance and intermediate vision. Crystalens is intended to restore near, intermediate and distance vision, in most cases, eliminating the need for glasses and contacts when performing every day tasks, allowing you to see well and look your best.

In contrast, standard lens implants provide vision at a fixed distance and mot people with single-vision implants must wear glasses for near vision and many need to wear glasses for intermediate vision as well.

Who are the best candidates for Crystalens?
