Giving back through charity and mission work has always been considered an important endeavor at Mann Eye Institute. Doctors Mike and Paul Mann’s yearly trips to deliver missionary eye care to the indigenous peoples of Bolivia are counted among their most cherished and rewarding life experiences.

Because Doctors Mike and Paul Mann are so deeply passionate about giving back to those who are less fortunate, we would like to offer our patients the ability to do the same. That’s why Mann Eye Institute has partnered with Kiva.

Kiva is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to raising loan money for low-income entrepreneurs in the developing world. Through their website, kiva.org, you can “sponsor a business” with as little as $25 and greatly improve the quality of one family’s livelihood by empowering them to earn their way out of poverty.

Each week, Mann Eye Institute will randomly select two winners from all patients who received a LASIK or premium lens procedure that week. The winners will be given a gift certificate that they can spend at kiva.org.

One of the great things about Kiva is that they make the loan process personal.
