LISA MCINTIRE, M.D.

Dr. McIntire is a Board certified ophthalmologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her professional memberships include The Cornea Society, The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. McIntire has been recognized with numerous honors and awards throughout her years of education. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiotherapy and was a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.

Dr. McIntire then earned her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where she received an Outstanding Senior Student Award in Ophthalmology. Dr. McIntire chose the field of ophthalmology because it allows her to interact with patients of all ages and from all walks of life, helping them achieve profound changes in their lives through vision procedures.

After receiving her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. McIntire completed a Transitional Internship at the University of Tennessee. She then traveled to Winston-Salem, North Carolina for an Ophthalmology Residency at Wake Forest University Eye Center, where she was chief resident. Dr. McIntire concluded with an Anterior Segment Fellowship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. McIntire is an avid cyclist and enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking and camping, with her husband and two children.
