MARTIN BAUMOHL, OD

Martin J. Baumohl, O.D. is a certified therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist who specializes in performing comprehensive, dilated eye examinations for the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. Dr. Baumohl is directly involved with the pre-operative and post-operative care of cataract surgery and laser vision correction patients utilizing the very latest diagnostic equipment and treatment techniques. He has a special proficiency with difficult to fit contact lens, patients spectacle prescriptions, binocular vision and the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.

Dr. Baumohl brought more than eight years of optometric experience to Mann Eye Institute in 1999. He earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he graduated with honors, earning a letter of excellence in patient care at every level. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Maryland.

Dr. Baumohl is a member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations, in addition to having been awarded the distinction of adjunct Associate Professor for his ongoing teaching of Optometric interns at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
