Sabrina E. Charrier, OD, FAAO, is a Therapeutic Optometrist specializing in primary care, the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and the fitting of specialty contact lenses. She is proficient in utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to assess candidacy for refractive and cataract surgery and treatment of glaucoma. Dr. Charrier also administers pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract surgery and laser vision correction patients, utilizing the latest diagnostic equipment and treatment techniques.
Dr. Charrier received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, and her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in Houston, TX. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Optometry at the University of Houston, College of Optometry, teaching classes in primary care and specialty contact lens fitting.
Following graduation, Dr. Charrier served in the Navy as Staff Optometrist where she received the Navy Achievement Medal for Outstanding Service, and served as Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the Southern California College of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the American Optometric Association.
