Bruce Krawiecki, OD

Bruce A. Krawiecki, OD, has the honor of being the longest tenured Therapeutic Optometrist at Mann Eye Institute. He has led the team in their flagship office in Humble, Texas since 1987 and, together with Dr. Mann, has been on the forefront of technology and advancements in the profession since day one. He works closely with all of Mann Eye Institute’s surgeons and specialists, particularly in the pre- and post-operative care of refractive surgery patients, as well as in the diagnosis and care of both cataract and glaucoma patients.  More recent trends in the industry have also led Dr. Krawiecki to become an industry leader treating the ever-growing number of dry eye patients.

Dr. Krawiecki regularly performs comprehensive eye examinations for glasses and contacts and takes a special interest in treating difficult-to-fit contact lens patients. He is a 1985 graduate of the University of Houston’s College of Optometry, and earned a B.A. degree from Bemidji State University.

Dr. Krawiecki is a featured lecturer for continuing education seminars to fellow colleagues and staff, both within Mann Eye Institute and beyond the practice, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience to further the profession and enhance patient care. He also heads the Optometry Internship Program at Mann Eye, along with Dr. Phillip Brunson, which mentors optometry students during their 4th year with high-level insights and experiences.

Dr. Krawiecki served as the 1997 President of the Harris County Optometric Society and is an active member of numerous national and state optometry associations.

When not working, Dr. K enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, golf, live music, sporting events, and rolling up his sleeves on any home improvement project.
