EVO Visian® ICL

Exciting news! Mann Eye Institute is excited to now offer the EVO Visian ICL (EVO) and provide our patients with another treatment option for myopia and astigmatism.

EVO is an Evolution in Visual Freedom designed to provide premium refractive outcomes while optimizing patient comfort. Made from a material called Collamer®, EVO can treat a wide range of refractive error, as well as improve long-distance and night vision. The EVO/EVO+ Visian® Implantable Collamer® Lens was approved by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a safe and effective treatment for myopia with and without astigmatism.

EVO ICL

The EVO Visian ICL is a minimally-invasive procedure. The lens is implanted through a small opening, allowing for a quick, painless procedure and fast recovery time. EVO sits inside your eye, eliminating the hassle of having to put in and take out your contact lenses each day. It has a barrier of UV protection and allows you to achieve excellent night vision.

Who is a good candidate for this lens? If you meet the following requirements, EVO might be right for you:

  • Are between 21 and 45 years old.
  • Are nearsighted with mild to severe myopia (-3D to -20D).
  • Have not had a change in prescription of more than .5D in a year.
  • Are looking for a procedure that doesn’t create dry eye syndrome.
EVO ICL model

These lenses preserve the cornea and the crystalline lenses are removable. They also reduce dry eye syndrome from forming. Additionally, there’s no added complexity in future cataract surgery calculation.

Over 2,000,000 lenses have been implanted worldwide, making EVO an up-and-coming vision correction procedure of choice for many people around the world. 90% of patients achieve 20/20 vision or better.

We are happy to now offer this lens to our patients. Schedule your appointment at Mann Eye Institute to find out if the EVO lens is right for you.
