In keeping with our ongoing commitment to providing the very best in eye care, Mann Eye Institute and Laser Centers are proud to welcome David Tremblay, M.D., to our team of dedicated ophthalmic specialists. Dr. David Tremblay joins our practice specializing in advanced Corneal, Cataract and Refractive surgery procedures and treatments, as well as, the diagnosis and care of patients with Diabetes, Macular Degeneration, Ocular Surface Disease (Dry Eye) and Glaucoma. Dr. Tremblay brings a wealth of experience and vision care services to our patients.
Born in San Antonio and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Tremblay earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his Internship in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Tremblay then completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, SC, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed his fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at Carolina Eyecare Physicians under the guidance of Charlene Grice, M.D. and Kerry Solomon, M.D.
Dr. Tremblay is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the Cornea Society and serves on several committees of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is also a volunteer surgeon for Operation Sight, an organization that offers cataract surgery to those without the means to afford it. In between spending time with his wife and two daughters, Dr. Tremblay enjoys mountain biking, golfing, and fishing.
