Sharzad Halvaeian, O.D., is a native of Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Houston where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History, graduating Cum Laude. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College Of Optometry, where she was elected to the prestigious Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. Halvaeian has been a member of the Mann Eye Institute medical team since 2014. As a therapeutic optometrist, she practices primary and pediatric eye care, including the management of ocular diseases and the fitting of specialty contact lenses. She is also proficient in using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to analyze candidacy for laser vision correction and cataract surgery and is able to perform examinations in fluent Spanish.
Dr. Halvaeian is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Society and has been involved in several community service projects including Healthcare for the Homeless, See To Succeed, and the Special Olympics Vision Screening Program.
In her leisure time, Dr. Halvaeian loves to travel, play volleyball, read and spend time with loved ones.
