Complete Eye Examinations

Regular Eye Exams are Imperative for Good Eye Health

At Mann Eye Institute, we stress the importance of regular eye examinations to our patients. Your yearly or bi-yearly exam can be the biggest factor in saving your vision should you have any vision-threatening diseases. Many eye diseases do not show any symptoms until irreparable damage has been done. Our experienced and highly trained eye doctors in Houston and Austin can provide you with one of the most comprehensive eye exams in the area.

Early Detection of Eye Diseases

Man at Eye Exam

Mann Eye Institute is well versed in the early detection of such diseases such as glaucoma, which if not caught early on will cause irreversible vision loss in patients. You will need a yearly or bi-yearly eye exam depending on your eye health, family history of eye disease, age, and other factors. Those with diabetes are at risk of developing diabetic retinopathy and other related diseases, and it is recommended that they have a yearly exam.

Our eye care doctors will start by discussing your health history, and anything that may affect your eye health. During your eye, one of our experienced ophthalmologists will check your quality of vision using various tests. You will be given a prescription for eyeglasses or contacts if needed. They will test you for glaucoma, cataracts, and check your retina for macular degeneration.

If you are due for an eye examination, please don’t wait! Give Mann Eye Institute a call and schedule an appointment at one of our offices in Houston or Austin. Remember, there are serious eye diseases that do not show symptoms, and are only found through an eye examination.
